Introducing the new 24/25 BCN Clàssics Season

It’s time to present the 2024-2025 BCN Clàssics season, now in its ninth year. Between October and May we will stage 10 concerts at the Palau de la Música Catalana, together with a single performance at the Gran Teatro del Liceu.

We remain firm in our commitment to programming a series of concerts in Barcelona of the highest musical and artistic excellence. Some of the finest soloists and conductors in the world, together with orchestras of international prestige, will be visiting us again to perform some of the great works from the universal repertoire.

Extraordinary Concerts

Coming direct from Japan, the conductors Masaaki and Masato Suzuki will direct Mozart’s monumental Requiem; and we will be celebrating a gala to mark the 50th anniversary of the 12 Cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic. Furthermore, you will once again be able to enjoy the partnership of the Orfeón Donostiarra choir and the ADDA Simfònica Alicante, in a performance of the famous Carmina Burana, and we repeat with a magnificent recital by pianist Evgeny Kissin.

Another of this season’s surprises is the double concert featuring conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the London Symphony Orchestra. They will appear first the at the Liceu with soprano Marina Rebeka, and then they will perform the “Symphony No. 1 “Titan” by Gustav Mahler at the Palau de la Música to give you a second opportunity to listen to them.

Local Programming

There’s no stopping the Km0 cycle either and we will continue to focus on the programming of local artists, with a total of four concerts aimed at spotlighting performers and composers from here.

You will be able to listen to the Catalan pianist based in New York, Albert Cano, and violinist Anna Urpina accompanied on harpsichord.

The percussionist Miquel Bernat will be another big surprise, and the cycle will close with flautist Júlia Gállego.

In recognition of their loyalty and trust, admission to the Km0 concerts is free for season-ticket holders.
