The ADDA Simfònica Alicante Orchestra made its debut this Wednesday at BCN Clàssics, entering in a grand manner. Under the baton of its conductor Josep Vicent, they began the concert with Xavier Montsalvatge's Cant espiritual. A mystical experience for the audience at the Palau de la Música Catalana, thanks to the voices of the iconic Orfeón Donostiarra, and their conductor José Antonio Sainz Alfaro.

The highly anticipated second part was a true luxury. Beethoven's monumental Ninth Symphony lived up to its title, the Hymn of Joy. With the appearance of the solo voices of Erika Grimaldi, Teresa Iervolino, Airam Hernández, and José Antonio López, the entire ensemble delivered a magnificent interpretation of the last of the German master's symphonies.

The concert was a tribute to Victoria de los Ángeles and concluded with a long ovation from the audience and a surprise for Josep Vicent, the "Happy Birthday" song performed by all the musicians and singers who remained on stage.
