Almost before we knew it, we have celebrated our tenth anniversary! This season, nearly 20,000 people joined us across our 11 concerts, including almost 4,000 first-time attendees.
Average attendance reached 80% capacity, with three sold-out concerts: Mahler's Fourth Symphony performed by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Gustavo Gimeno, featuring pianist Bruce Liu; the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana with two legendary artists, Martha Argerich and Charles Dutoit; and the celebration of Zubin Mehta's 90th birthday with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra and the young violinist María Dueñas.
The number of BCN Clàssics subscribers has now reached 1,050—an increase of 60% compared to the previous season—and subscribers accounted for 28% of total attendance. We would also like to highlight the growth and increasing importance of the Km0 series, which welcomed nearly 1,000 attendees across its four events.
Our commitment to attracting younger audiences continues to grow, with more than 860 attendees under the age of 35. Nearly 360 people benefited from the BCN Clàssics Espai Jove discounts, while 44 used the Carnet Jove scheme, 35 the Quadern Cultura programme, 50 the Bo Cultura initiative and 75 the Cultura Jove platform. We were also pleased to welcome more than 110 attendees from schools.
BCN Clàssics is also a member of the Apropa Cultura network. During the 2025/26 season, more than 185 people at risk of social exclusion were able to attend our concerts. In addition, 85 members of community organisations in Barcelona benefited from dedicated discounts, 250 people purchased group tickets (for groups of 10 or more), and around 15 attendees bought their tickets through the Tr3sc platform.
Residents of Barcelona continue to make up 50% of the BCN Clàssics audience, followed by 20% from the rest of Catalonia. Meanwhile, audiences from the Barcelona Metropolitan Area account for around 10% of total attendance.
With an average audience age of 49, BCN Clàssics continues to enjoy a strong presence among concertgoers aged 50–54 and 65–69. Among subscribers, 50% are over the age of 65, while 30% are between 50 and 64 years old. Gender representation also remains virtually balanced, with an even split between men and women.
We close this tenth season with great satisfaction for everything we have achieved and with the enthusiasm to continue building a project that, year after year, has established itself as one of Barcelona's leading classical music concert series.
Are you ready to join us for our 11th season?
