BCN Clàssics adds a new concert to its 2025–26 season with the highly anticipated debut of the prestigious pianist Khatia Buniatishvili, on Wednesday, February 4, at L’Auditori (8 p.m.).

In her Barcelona debut, she will perform Schubert’s Piano Sonata No. 21 in B-flat major, Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 17 “The Tempest, and a selection of works by Liszt — one of her favorite composers — whose eponymous album earned her one of her two ECHO Klassik awards: Mephisto Waltz No. 1, S. 110, “Gretchen at the Spinning Wheel” from Schubert’s 12 Lieder, and the Hungarian Rhapsody No. 6 in D-flat major, S. 244.

Renowned for her technical virtuosity, emotional depth, and dazzling stage presence, Khatia Buniatishvili is regarded as one of today’s foremost international pianists. The Georgian artist regularly appears in the world’s leading concert halls — such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Philharmonie de Paris, and the Musikverein in Vienna — and has collaborated with renowned conductors including Zubin Mehta, Gustavo Dudamel, and Paavo Järvi, performing alongside major orchestras worldwide.
