One of the highlights of the 2025/26 season will be the presence of renowned international conductors and orchestras.
Andrés Orozco-Estrada and the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI will open the 2025/26 season; the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Gustavo Gimeno, will stop in during their transoceanic tour and perform in Spain for the first time since its founding in 1922.
Jaime Martín will lead the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and Daniel Raiskin will conduct the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra.
We will see Martha Argerich and Charles Dutoit together with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, which will perform for the first time in Barcelona. Also returning is the long-awaited Sir John Eliot Gardiner with his new project, The Constellation Orchestra, one of the flagship ensembles of Springhead Constellation.
The visit of two prominent conductors deeply committed to today's social and political context will be one of the season’s highlights. Gustavo Dudamel will conduct the National Youth Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, one of the ensembles of El Sistema, which since 1975 has been one of the world’s largest social and musical initiatives.
Zubin Mehta, in a tribute concert for his 90th birthday, will lead the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, an ensemble founded by Edward W. Said and Daniel Barenboim to promote peace between Jews and Palestinians.
An exceptional season!
