Pianist Khatia Buniatishvili returns to BCN Clàssics following last season’s triumph, when her performance captivated audiences and critics. She has played with the world’s leading orchestras, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris and the Wiener Philharmoniker, and under conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Daniel Barenboim and Sir Simon Rattle.
Buniatishvili has won awards at several international competitions, such as the George Enescu International Piano Competition and the Franz Liszt Competition in Utrecht. She has established herself as one of the outstanding pianists of her generation, renowned for her virtuosity, sensitivity and interpretative intensity.
